After the friendly match where Algeria triumphed over Niger (2-1), several players from the Greens were approached by journalists at the Hocine-Aït-Ahmed Stadium. Among them was Adil Bourabaa, who had a rather unique interaction with a reporter from ENTV.

As the midfielder from Le Mans had just made his debut with the national team, the journalist first referred to him as "Naïr," surprising the player. This confusion could be explained by the presence of defender Soheib Naïr in the Algerian squad.

However, the situation did not stop there. Continuing the exchange, the journalist once again called the young international "Soheib," thus using Naïr's actual first name. Bourabaa then took the time to politely correct his interlocutor, stating that his name was indeed Adil Bourabaa.

This clarification, however, did not completely eliminate the confusion as the journalist ultimately referred to him as… "Adem Bourabaa." A series of names that created a rather unusual scene as the player was being introduced to the Algerian public.

This sequence, quickly noticed by internet users, naturally sparked reactions on social media. Many highlighted the unusual nature of this exchange, which became one of the memorable anecdotes of the post-match.

For Adil Bourabaa, the main focus remains elsewhere. Selected for the first time with the senior team, the young talent participated in this gathering under the guidance of new coach Brahim Hemdani, who continues his work in building the team for upcoming challenges.

The Greens are now preparing for the upcoming matches in the CAN 2027 qualifiers, including two confrontations against Togo in November.
