Hemdani: "I have no concerns regarding the synthetic pitch."

As the clash against Burundi approaches, Brahim Hemdani displays a calm demeanor. The Algeria coach has no concerns about the quality of the pitch or his players' adaptation to local conditions.

On the eve of the confrontation with Burundi, Brahim Hemdani was also asked about the playing conditions, particularly regarding the synthetic surface awaiting the Greens. This is often a determining factor during away matches in Africa, where conditions can differ significantly from those experienced in club football.

The Algerian coach, however, remained particularly composed. Arriving on site the night before, the Fennecs have not encountered any notable difficulties since their arrival. “We arrived last night and were well received. The conditions surrounding the match are favorable,” Hemdani stated.

Regarding the synthetic surface, the Algerian coach does not see it as a hindrance: “We have several players accustomed to playing on this type of pitch and who are familiar with this environment. So I am not worried about that.”

However, Hemdani admits that some adjustments will be necessary: “The preparation is going normally, even though we are aware that the pitch will be slightly different.” The Greens' staff is therefore primarily relying on the adaptability of their team ahead of this second match in the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
