An all-Egyptian final in the women's competition at the African Junior Badminton Championship.

Fatima Rabi and Lujine Wasfi, players of the youth national badminton team, have reached the final in the women's singles competition at the Africa Under-19 Championship, taking place at Hall 2 of Cairo International Stadium from September 27 to October 3.

Lujine Wasfi secured her spot in the final after defeating Algerian Shiraz Halimi 2-1, while Fatima Rabi guaranteed her place by winning against her teammate Hadiya Eljandi with the same score.

Egypt Secures Two Medals in Africa Badminton Championship

Egypt has ensured both gold and silver medals in the women's singles competition, while Hadiya Eljandi won the bronze medal. Additionally, Egypt claimed a bronze in the women's doubles through the duo Nour Fekry and Rahima Hussein.

The finals for the men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles are set to begin at 4 PM today.

The championship features participation from 12 national teams, including Egypt, Tunisia, Uganda, Algeria, Seychelles, South Africa, Mauritius, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Senegal, Libya, and Zambia.

Egypt's hosting of this African championship is part of ongoing preparations for the World Junior Championship, providing players with the opportunity to compete at a high level on the continental stage before participating in the global event.
