Bayern Munich Extends Harry Kane's Contract
Bayern Munich announced on Thursday that they have renewed the contract of English international Harry Kane until 2029.
Kane joined Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023, and since then he has continued his career with the "Bavarians," winning numerous individual and team titles.
The 33-year-old captain of the England national team received the "Ballon d'Or for Best Player in the World" award last week, becoming the first English player to win this award in 25 years and the first player from the Bundesliga to win it in 30 years, after scoring 73 goals with Bayern Munich and the England national team last season.
Kane has scored 156 goals in 161 matches with Bayern Munich, winning two Bundesliga titles and three domestic cups, noting that his previous contract with the team was set to expire at the end of the current season.
After signing the new contract, Harry Kane said: "I feel completely at home with Bayern Munich. I love the club, the fans, and the city of Munich. We have a fantastic team and an amazing coach in Vincent Kompany, and I am proud to be a part of this club."
The English player added: "My family is very happy here, and I was excited to continue... I am now looking forward to the future and want to win more titles with this great club."
