Called in urgently to replace Nabil Bentaleb, Adil Bourabaâ begins his gathering under special circumstances. After an impressive start to the season with Le Mans, the young midfielder makes his debut with the national A team, just months after being regularly mentored by Rafik Saïfi in the U23s.

This connection with the former Algerian international plays a crucial role in Bourabaâ's recent trajectory. At just 21 years old, he expresses his gratitude towards the U23 coach, with whom he frequently communicates.

“I am really grateful. We often exchange messages with Rafik (Saïfi). We have a strong relationship. Even the fact that he came to get me and entrusted me with the captain's armband is a huge pride. Now, I am rewarded and I can share this adventure with the A team,” Bourabaâ stated in the mixed zone.

His first call-up to the A team marks a new phase for the Le Mans midfielder, who primarily wants to take advantage of this experience to learn. Aware that he is in a different environment, surrounded by more seasoned players, the young Algerian mainly wishes to remain true to his mindset.

“My goal? Since this is my first selection, it is to learn from those who have more experience and those who have already been selected. I want to give my best as usual, enjoy myself and bring joy to the supporters, because that is what football is all about,” he explained.

Propelled into the A team under unique circumstances, Bourabaâ approaches this situation with a lot of humility, but also with the determination to seize this opportunity. His strong start to the season with Le Mans caught the attention of the national staff, before Bentaleb's injury accelerated his arrival in Sidi Moussa.

Now, the young midfielder wishes to fully enjoy this first experience alongside the leaders of the Greens and continue the path he has paved with the youth selections.
