Returning to the national team thanks to an impressive start to the season at club level, Amin Chiakha approaches this new gathering with a clear ambition. The young Algerian forward, who had a good spell with Rosenborg, now aims to channel his energy in service of the Greens and seize this new opportunity to showcase his talents.

“I had a great season with Rosenborg, but there are several matches left to play, and I need to maintain this momentum. Right now, I am focused on the national team. I have to give my best on the pitch, and we will see where that takes us this time,” Chiakha said in the mixed zone.

The player also discussed his time at Rosenborg and the factors that contributed to his departure. During this period, the support from his surroundings and his club helped him regain confidence.

“There were several factors. When you lose a bit of morale in your career, it’s essential to talk to people who appreciate you and recognize your potential. Rosenborg supported me, and I was able to work effectively thanks to them. With hard work, anything is possible,” he confided.

Now, Chiakha aspires to reach a new level with Algeria. The young forward knows what he wants to bring to the pitch and aims to highlight his commitment in pressing as well as his effectiveness in front of goal.

“I want to prove my potential in the national team: my skills, my pressing, and my goals. I want to show who Amin Chiakha really is,” he stated.

This new phase also comes after the disappointment felt during the last World Cup. For Chiakha, this experience should now serve as motivation: “Today, it’s a new page after the disappointment of the World Cup. It’s a source of motivation for me.”

With the new coaching staff led by Brahim Hemdani and the upcoming deadlines for the CAN-2027 approaching quickly, Chiakha intends to write a new chapter with the Greens.
