The 16 teams qualified for the group stage of the CAF Champions League were revealed this weekend. Among them is the Sudanese club Al Hilal Omdurman.
This will be Al Hilal Omdurman's fifteenth appearance in the group stage of this competition. The Sudanese club ranks among the most consistent on the continental stage, achieving its eighth consecutive qualification. However, Al Hilal has never won the CAF Champions League title, reaching the final twice (1987, 1991).
Last season, Al Hilal was eliminated in the quarter-finals. This year, the ambition is to turn these accumulated experiences over time into a significant success. To qualify, the Sudanese giant did not concede any goals in the two preliminary rounds.
