Simba SC is set to participate in the group stage of the CAF Champions League. The Tanzanian club secured its spot on Sunday by defeating 15 de Agosto again in the return leg of the second preliminary round.
Simba SC did not hold back. Despite a large victory in the first leg, Simba SC also triumphed in the return match. The first half was rather dull and did not captivate the audience at Uhuru Stadium in Tanzania.
It was in the second half that Simba SC hit the accelerator and sealed the fate of this two-legged tie. The Tanzanian club scored 3 goals in 20 minutes. The substitutes ignited the spark, with Oura first, followed by Élie Mpanzu, who netted the first two goals of the evening. Keletso also contributed by adding the third goal for Simba SC.
Over the two matches, the Tanzanian champions won with an aggregate score of 9-1. They thus qualify for their sixth campaign in the CAF Champions League.
