The draw for the CAF Cup group stage took place this Wednesday. The giants of the competition find themselves in manageable groups, while the less experienced teams will need to step up their efforts.

ASKO de Kara now knows its opponents. The Togolese club will be in Group A, alongside Egypt's Al Ahly, Morocco's Raja Club Athletic, and Angola's Primeiro de Agosto. It's a tough draw for the Kondona, who will face several teams familiar with continental competitions.

Al Ahly, the record title holder in the CAF Champions League, also has experience in this competition, having won it in 2014. Meanwhile, Raja Casablanca has lifted the CAF Confederation Cup twice, in 2018 and 2021. Primeiro de Agosto completes this group. ASKO secured its qualification against Mali's FC Diarra thanks to the away goals rule, after an aggregate score of 3-3.

The Togolese will now have to measure up against these three rivals with hopes of qualifying for the quarter-finals. The top two teams from each group will continue their journey. The group stage is expected to start in November 2026.
