The Algerian judicial system has sentenced several former leaders of the Algerian Football Federation to prison terms ranging from one to eight years.

Kheireddine Zetchi and Charaf-Eddine Amara received eight-year sentences, while Djahid Zefizef was sentenced to six years.

Four others, Mohamed Saâd, Mounir Debbichi, Abdelghani Nekkache, and Amine Labdi, received three-year prison terms.

Abdelmoumène Berraf was given a two-year sentence, while four former members of the Federal Bureau were each sentenced to one year.

This decision does not necessarily conclude the judicial process: the convicted individuals have the option to appeal the verdict. They denied the charges throughout the proceedings, while the prosecutor had sought up to ten years in prison for most of them.

The sentences were handed down as part of an investigation into the financial and administrative management of the FAF between 2017 and 2023. The case includes allegations of irregularities in several contracts, including those signed with the equipment supplier Adidas and a travel agency, as well as contracts related to the organization of tournaments. The accused have denied the charges against them and can appeal the decision.
