The 6th edition of the CAF Women's Champions League kicks off this Sunday. The tournament takes place in Egypt and will run until November 15. In the five previous editions, only three clubs have managed to etch their names in the history books.

Who will succeed AS FAR? The answer will be revealed on the evening of November 15, after the final. For now, the Moroccan club aims to defend and retain its title. AS FAR shares the top spot for the most titles in the CAF Champions League with Mamelodi Sundowns, with each team having won the trophy twice.

Mamelodi Sundowns was the first club to achieve this feat. After their victory in the inaugural edition in 2021, the Masandawana women's team triumphed again in 2023. AS FAR claimed the title in 2022 before returning to win it again in 2025. TP Mazembe is the third club to have won the CAF Women's Champions League trophy (2024). The Congolese club is not qualified for this edition, opening the door for AS FAR and Mamelodi Sundowns to aim for a third title. However, with the ambitions of teams such as FC Masar, FUS Rabat, Edo Queens, USFAS, and even newcomers like Kawempe Muslim Ladies and Lekié FF, a new club could also make its mark in the tournament's history!
