The Egypt women's 3x3 basketball team began its journey in the World Cup held in Wuhan, China, with a thrilling victory over Italy, winning 17-14 in their opening match of the tournament, which runs until September 19.

Egypt is placed in Group A, which also includes teams from France, Italy, the Philippines, and the host nation, China.

Qualification System

The World Cup features a group stage format, where the top two teams from each group qualify directly for the quarter-finals, continuing the competition through the knockout rounds to reach the podium for the world title.

The team is led by head coach Hani Hassan, and the roster for the tournament includes the following players:

Egypt is preparing to play its second group match against the host team, China, today at 3:55 PM.
