After impressing with the Moroccan U20 team, Yassir Zabiri is taking a new step. Selected for the first time with the senior Atlas Lions, the young forward is relishing this advancement and aims to make the most of the confidence placed in him.
“It’s an immense emotion,” Zabiri said in remarks reported by Le 360 Sport, stating that he quickly found his bearings within the group.

A key player in Morocco's journey at the U20 World Cup in Chile in 2025, where he particularly stood out, Zabiri is certainly highly anticipated for his senior debut. The player expresses his gratitude to his teammates and Moroccan supporters for their backing.
Morocco will first host Gabon this Friday, September 25, in Rabat, for the opening day of the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. The Lions will then face Lesotho on September 29 in South Africa, before a friendly match against Ghana on October 4 in Tangier. Zabiri hopes to take advantage of this series of matches to make his first steps with the senior team.
