Le Mans FC: Gana Gueye partners with a group of renowned investors

After more than fifteen years at the top of his career, Idrissa Gana Gueye is entering a new phase in his journey. The Senegalese midfielder is becoming a shareholder of Le Mans FC and will join a consortium of investors that includes several prominent figures from the sports world.

According to Africa Foot, the 37-year-old player is partnering with the French club alongside Lucas Leiva, a former player for Liverpool and Lazio. The two former internationals are integrating into a project supported by OutField, which includes Thibaut Courtois, Novak Djokovic, Felipe Massa, and Kevin Magnussen.

Gana Gueye aims to leverage his experience in French, English, and African football to contribute to the club's development. His involvement could particularly help Le Mans FC strengthen its ties with West African football.

The Senegalese international already has a foothold in the region through his recently established football academy in Senegal. The club aspires to draw on his experience and network to better identify and support young African talents.
