In a match that was uncertain for a long time, Camiel Neghli ultimately tipped the scales, providing a valuable victory for his team, which was able to bring home three essential points from their trip.

Camiel Neghli once again played a key role in Millwall's success. This Saturday, the Algerian midfielder scored the only goal of the match against Preston North End (1-0) during an away game at Deepdale in the Championship.

While both teams struggled to create chances, the former Sparta Rotterdam player broke the deadlock in the 79th minute. After a combination with Luke Cundle, who had entered the field thirteen minutes earlier, Neghli received the ball in the box before placing his right-footed shot. His effort found the far corner, leaving the opposing goalkeeper helpless.

This goal rewarded an interesting performance from the Fennec, who was available between the lines and proved valuable in the offensive play of the Lions. Beyond his goal, the Algerian player contributed to the buildup of the game and helped keep his team in the opponent's half throughout the match.

Millwall could have opened the scoring earlier, however. In the 17th minute, Kyrell Lisbie notably hit the crossbar from a set piece. Meanwhile, Preston's goalkeeper, Daniel Iversen, also distinguished himself by saving several attempts from Neghli and Lisbie.

With this victory, Millwall makes a significant move in the standings. The London club climbs to eighth place in the Championship, moving up from eleventh, while Preston North End remains at the bottom of the table.

Neghli will have the opportunity to continue this momentum in the next match against Swansea, aiming to contribute to his team's rise in the battle for the top of the table.

He has really been in form for some time, I hope he joins a PL club or elsewhere during the next transfer window. https://t.co/nYQGsjgVzu
