A few hours before the match between Omonia Nicosia and Celta Vigo, the starting lineups are starting to take shape. Both coaches may make some changes for this opening day of the Europa League group stage.
For Omonia, Fabian Berg may opt for Kaminski in goal. The defense is expected to consist of Duverne, Ľubomír Šatka, Coulibaly, and Balkovec. In midfield, Luuk Brouwers and Andreou are likely to feature, supported by Mayambela, Tankovic, and Montnor to assist Loïs Diony in attack.
However, several Cypriot players remain under observation ahead of this match. Fotis Kitsos and Carel Eiting are continuing their rehabilitation after knee injuries. Brouwers, who came on as a substitute at halftime in Omonia's last match, could make his first start.
On the Spanish side, Claudio Giráldez may choose Radu to keep goal, defended by a back three consisting of Cáceres, Carl Starfelt, and Alonso. The midfield could include Rueda, Fer López, Moriba, and Javi Galán, while González, Williot Swedberg, and Ferran Jutglà are expected to energize the attacking front.
Celta Vigo will have to do without Iago Aspas, who is sidelined with a thigh injury sustained during the match against Malaga. Andrés Antón, Aleix Febas, Jones El-Abdellaoui, and Borja Iglesias are also reported as doubtful.
