Algerian forward Mohamed Amoura took advantage of a particularly fruitful night at the Allianz Riviera to shine. In a captivating match, the Aiglons relied on their international player to extend their lead against Rennes.

OGC Nice delivered an impressive performance on Friday night, overpowering Stade Rennais (5-2) during the 9th round of Ligue 1. At the heart of this offensive display, Mohamed Amoura also scored, confirming his excellent form in Nice colors.

Positioned in the attacking sector of Olivier Pantaloni's plan, the Algerian international netted his team's fourth goal shortly after halftime. In the 54th minute, he brilliantly capitalized on a pass from Hicham Boudaoui to showcase his technical quality in the box. Also taking advantage of Elye Wahi's run, which drew the attention of the Rennes defense, Amoura opened the scoring before deceiving the opposing goalkeeper with a low shot.

This goal allowed Nice to take a three-goal lead, further solidifying their dominance. This is Amoura's second goal in Ligue 1 this season, a new encouraging sign of his integration into the French league.

In a match where Elye Wahi particularly stood out with a hat-trick, Amoura contributed to a significant collective success. Jonathan Clauss also joined in the Nice offensive celebration.

This victory temporarily propels the Gym to seventh place in the standings and brings them closer to the teams competing for European spots. For Amoura, this new goal is an added satisfaction, as the Algerian forward aims to establish himself among the key figures in the Nice attack.
