Saïd Benrahma made a strong impression during a memorable evening against a former rival of the Greens. A standout performance that allows his team to continue their momentum.

Benrahma had a particularly fruitful evening on Tuesday during the third round of the Gulf Champions League. The Algerian winger played a key role in Neom SC's victory over Qatari club Al-Duhail, managed by his compatriot and former coach Djamel Belmadi, scoring twice in a clear 3-0 triumph.

The match quickly took a favorable turn for the Saudi team, thanks to their Algerian international. In the 4th minute, Benrahma opened the scoring with a beautiful strike, allowing Neom to take the lead very early in the match. An ideal start for Neom's men, who managed to maintain their advantage before widening the gap.

As the match neared its end, the former West Ham player sealed the fate of the encounter. In the 87th minute, he took advantage of a one-on-one opportunity with the opposing goalkeeper to score his second goal and the third for his team.

This performance brings Benrahma's total to eight goals since the start of the season, across all competitions. The Algerian now has three goals in the Gulf Champions League, four in the Saudi league, and one in the King’s Cup.

On his side, Djamel Belmadi had a difficult evening with this heavy defeat, the first for his team this season, ending a 13-match unbeaten streak. For Benrahma, this match against his former coach was a great opportunity to shine, with two goals that significantly contributed to his team's victory.
