Hussein El Shahat was immersed in the events... What did Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane say about the tragedy of the Tunisia camp?

In a harrowing confession filled with fear and terror, Tunisian player Mohamed Ali Ben Ramadan, a former Al Ahly player and current member of Qatari club Al Shamal, revealed the details of a difficult moment he experienced during a training camp with the Red Devils in Tunisia, when a swimming trip turned into a real nightmare that nearly cost the lives of three players, including Ben Ramadan himself, along with his teammates Hussein El Shahat and Karim Fouad.

During a television interview, Ben Ramadan recounted one of the most dangerous experiences of his life, emphasizing that what happened during Al Ahly's camp in Ain Draham can never be forgotten, as he found himself facing a situation beyond expectations, amid desperate attempts to save his teammates from drowning.

A Normal Start.. and an End that Nearly Became a Tragedy

The Tunisian player explained that the incident occurred on a day off for Al Ahly players, following a friendly match the day before, when several of them decided to go to the beach to enjoy the holiday atmosphere and escape the pressures of training and matches.

According to Ben Ramadan's account, Karim Fouad was with him, along with Hussein El Shahat, before the atmosphere suddenly changed when Karim attempted to get closer to them in the water, despite being in a relatively deep area.

He noted that Karim Fouad was relying on a rope to help him stay safe, but he let go of it after believing he could reach them, not realizing that the water was pulling him in, leaving him suddenly unable to reach the bottom or escape the dangerous situation.

Hussein El Shahat Stepped in to Save Karim.. and Found Himself in Danger

Ben Ramadan added that Hussein El Shahat did not hesitate to try to save Karim Fouad, but he too faced danger after swallowing large amounts of water, turning the rescue attempts into a more complicated crisis, amid real fears that the players might lose their lives in the sea.

The former Al Ahly player confirmed that he moved to assist his teammates, trying to separate them from each other to prevent their grasping onto one another from worsening the situation, noting that the seconds he spent in the water were some of the most terrifying moments of his life.

Yasser Ibrahim: The Hero of the Critical Moment

Ben Ramadan revealed that Yasser Ibrahim played the most crucial role in resolving this crisis, after witnessing what was happening from a distance and deciding to enter the sea and quickly head towards his teammates, despite the danger of the situation.

He explained that Yasser Ibrahim was able to reach Karim Fouad and assist him, while Ben Ramadan continued to help Hussein El Shahat until they managed to get out of the water safely, bringing an end to one of the toughest moments the Al Ahly players experienced during the training camp.

Ben Ramadan praised Yasser Ibrahim's bravery and quick intervention, affirming that his timely arrival was decisive in saving the situation, as the players faced a real danger that was not easy to handle.

The Tunisian player concluded his account with words that encapsulated the extent of the terror he experienced, confirming that the scene remained etched in his memory as one of the worst experiences he has ever gone through, saying: "This is the worst scene I have ever seen in my life.. I saw death with my own eyes."
