Hamza Ighoudman Approaches Return to Lille Training
Moroccan international Hamza Ighoudman is reportedly close to resuming team training with Lille OSC after a long absence due to a serious knee injury. The forward is following a gradual rehabilitation program, awaiting the final phase before returning to competitive play.
Recently, Ighoudman has returned to ball work after resuming running in June. He has continued his individual training at the "Domaine de Luchin" under the supervision of the club's medical staff, reflecting positive improvements in his physical condition.
Lille has shared videos of Ighoudman training with the ball in recent days, indicating that the player is closer than ever to gradually integrating into team training, but the club has not yet set an official date for his return to matches.
Ighoudman suffered a tear in the anterior cruciate ligament of his right knee during the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 final against Senegal last January, after coming on as a substitute in the closing minutes of the match and leaving the field during extra time.
The absence of Lille's forward has been a significant blow to his national team career, as he missed recent competitions. However, with the progress of his rehabilitation program, hope begins to rise for him to gradually regain his place, as he awaits his return to competition and the restoration of his physical and competitive fitness.
