Kimi Antonelli is being supported by Guenther Steiner to exceed Sebastian Vettel's tally of four Formula 1 championships.

Former Haas Formula 1 team principal Guenther Steiner is of the opinion that Kimi Antonelli will achieve a more prosperous F1 career compared to four-time champion Sebastian Vettel.
Antonelli stands on the brink of clinching his first F1 championship, and he will secure the title at this weekend's Mexican Grand Prix if he finishes within the top nine. At just 20 years old, he would break Vettel's record as the youngest champion in F1 history, established in 2010.
Vettel went on to secure four successive titles with Red Bull from 2010 to 2013.
Steiner shared his thoughts on Antonelli's prospects during an interview on The Red Flags Podcast.
"Absolutely," Steiner responded when asked if he believes Antonelli will surpass Vettel's success. "I mean, Vettel was talented, but he was also at the right place at the right time. But if you look at when he joined Ferrari, there wasn't much left. Sebastian was indeed very skilled, but he wasn't an extraordinary talent like Max [Verstappen], or I believe Kimi will be."
When pressed to clarify if he thinks Antonelli will win more than four championships, Steiner affirmed: "Yes."
Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Mercedes
In only his second season in F1, Antonelli seized the lead in the drivers' championship following consecutive victories at the Chinese and Japanese Grands Prix. Since then, he has accumulated a total of nine grand prix wins.
He currently tops the standings with 365 points, ahead of his Mercedes teammate George Russell, who is in second place with 242 points. Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton is close behind in third with 241 points.
"The championships are getting closer, but our approach remains unchanged. Focusing on the outcome won’t assist us in achieving it," stated Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff in the Brackley outfit's Mexican Grand Prix preview.
"We will maintain discipline, approach each session one at a time, and concentrate on executing the fundamentals effectively."
While Antonelli has the chance to clinch the drivers' championship this weekend, Mercedes is also in a position to secure the constructors' title. Mercedes leads with 607 points following the United States Grand Prix, 133 points ahead of Ferrari, which has 474 points.
