Hamza Igamane is set to return to LOSC. After suffering a tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during the Africa Cup of Nations final, the Moroccan forward is making progress in his rehabilitation and is close to completing his recovery program.
Davide Ancelotti mentioned the possibility of him joining group training after the international break.
“From there, we will assess our progress. It is essential to move forward day by day, as we need to observe how the knees respond,” the Lille coach clarified. A gradual return is therefore preferred, without rushing, to ensure the player fully regains his abilities.
The coach also indicated December as a potential target date for a return to action. This timeline will depend on the physical condition of the 23-year-old player.
Before his injury, Igamane had excelled with nine goals and two assists in 18 matches during the first half of the season. His last match with Lille was on December 5 against Olympique de Marseille.
