The Referees Committee of the Egyptian Football Association has announced the officiating teams for the matches scheduled on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, as part of the fifth round of the Premier League.
Mahmoud Bassiouny to officiate Ghazl El Mahalla vs. Zamalek
Referee Mahmoud Bassiouny has been assigned to manage the match between Ghazl El Mahalla and Zamalek, which will take place at Ghazl El Mahalla Stadium at 8:00 PM. He will be assisted by Samir Gamal as the first assistant referee and Khaled Hussein as the second assistant referee, while Said Mounir will serve as the fourth official.
In the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) room, referee Khaled Gamal El Ghandour will be present, assisted by Mohamed Abdel Aziz.
Mohamed Maarouf to officiate El Gouna vs. Petrojet
Referee Mohamed Maarouf will oversee the match between El Gouna and Petrojet, scheduled at Khaled Beshara Stadium at 5:00 PM. The officiating team includes Ahmed Tawfiq Talab as the first assistant referee, Ahmed Zaghloul as the second assistant referee, and Mohamed Ibrahim El Desouki as the fourth official.
Referee Alaa Sabry has also been assigned to manage the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) with assistance from Mohamed Salah Ali.
