Mahmoud Marai, defender for Pyramids FC, wore a head guard during the team's training sessions in preparation for the match against Eastern Company scheduled for next Thursday.
Marai suffered a serious head injury during the match against Kenyan side Gor Mahia in Nairobi, which required him to be hospitalized for surgery and 8 stitches, causing him to miss the matches against Ghazl El Mahalla and Gor Mahia in the return leg due to this injury.
The club's medical staff, led by Dr. Mostafa El-Moniri, decided that Marai should wear the head guard during training to prevent aggravating the injury during intense tackles and to prepare him for the match against Eastern Company in the fifth round of the league.
Pyramids Faces Defensive Crisis
Pyramids FC is facing a crisis with a shortage of players in defense, as Mahmoud Marai is sidelined due to injury, in addition to Osama Galal, who is out with a leg fracture and is currently undergoing a treatment and rehabilitation program.
