Samba Diawara has changed clubs. The former Mali international has officially joined AJ Auxerre as an assistant coach after leaving Stade de Reims, where he was part of the staff since 2022. The Reims club announced his departure on September 15 to embark on a new project.
As a former defender and Mali international, Diawara has a solid understanding of French and Belgian football. He notably played for Charleroi and Saint-Trond in Belgium before continuing his career in France. During his time with the Reims staff, he participated in 149 matches, including 23 as head coach.
This move to Auxerre marks a new chapter in the career of the Malian coach. He now joins the AJA staff with the ambition to leverage his experience and high-level knowledge to support the Burgundy club.
