Marai continues to receive medical attention following the injury he sustained during the match against Kenyan side Gor Mahia in the first leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League, where he suffered a head injury that forced him to leave the game in the 20th minute. He underwent surgery at a hospital in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, where an 8-stitch closure was applied to a laceration on his head.
The player has not yet had the stitches removed, which necessitates wearing a protective helmet to shield him from any impacts should he participate against Eastern Company, while medical monitoring continues to ensure he has not suffered a concussion or any complications.
Pyramids Faces Defensive Challenge
