With his right foot, Anis Hadj Moussa can also make a difference. The Algerian winger delivered a superb assist against Fortuna Sittard, allowing Feyenoord to take the lead before a disappointing conclusion to the match.
Anis Hadj Moussa continues to have an impact in Feyenoord's matches. After his stunning goal against PSV the previous weekend, the Algerian international shone as a playmaker this Saturday against Fortuna Sittard (1-1) during the 11th round of the Eredivisie. However, this contribution was not enough to secure a victory.
In the 59th minute, the winger made his way down the right flank. With the ball, the left-footer continued his run to the goal line before delivering, this time with his right foot, a perfectly weighted cross for Luciano Valente. His teammate was on hand to score successfully, giving Feyenoord the lead and igniting the crowd at De Kuip.
Although the Rotterdammers dominated for long stretches, they squandered several opportunities to secure the win. They paid the price late in the match: in the 86th minute, Shiloh ’t Zand equalized for Fortuna. A disappointing outcome for Feyenoord, who must settle for a second consecutive draw in the league.
With 25 points from eleven matches, Feyenoord remains at the top and unbeaten, but allows their rivals the chance to close the gap. Fortuna Sittard, on the other hand, reaches a total of 19 points and stays in sixth place. Two points dropped at home slightly tarnish Hadj Moussa's impressive performance.
