Raja Club Athletic defeats FAR Rabat 2-0 in the classic match.

Raja Triumphs Over FAR with Two Goals in the Classic Match
Raja Club Athletic secured an important victory against their hosts, FAR Rabat, with a score of 2-1 in the "classic match" held on Wednesday evening at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat, as part of the postponed first round of the professional league.
The Green team started the match strongly, with Ismail Khafi opening the scoring in the second minute, giving the visitors an early lead, which prompted the home side to continue pressing for an equalizer.
FAR Rabat attempted to capitalize on their attacking momentum to threaten Raja's goal, but goalkeeper Mehdi Lahrar excelled in saving several attempts, while the military team players appealed for a penalty in the 20th minute.
FAR continued to apply pressure, with Jamal Chamakh nearly equalizing with a powerful shot that went just wide of the right post, before Youssef El Fahli managed to bring the match back to square one by scoring the equalizer in the 26th minute with a header.
Raja responded quickly, as the Green team scored their second goal in the 37th minute through Ismail Khafi, who took advantage of a brilliant pass following an impressive individual effort from striker Matias, restoring the lead for the Eagles.
Three minutes before the end of the first half, Mehdi Lahrar made another successful save against a powerful header from Valo Mendy, preserving his team's lead as the first half concluded.
In the second half, both teams exchanged attacking attempts in search of changing the score, but a lack of focus and efficiency in front of goal prevented any further goals, leading to the match ending with Raja Club Athletic winning 2-1.
This victory holds special significance for the Green team, as it is the first under their interim coach Abdel Karim Jnani, who took over after the club parted ways with Spanish coach Paco Jemez.
With this result, Raja Club Athletic raised their points total to 9, moving up to ninth place in the professional league standings, while FAR Rabat remained at 8 points, occupying the eleventh position.
