Egyptian duo Salman Khalil and Nour Khafaji won the Maspeth Squash Championship, held in the United States from September 9 to 14, with a total prize pool of $18,000.
Salman Khalil Claims Championship Title
Salman Khalil secured the championship title after defeating his compatriot Adam Hawl in the final, while Nour Khafaji triumphed over Ukrainian Alina Bushma with a score of 3-2 in the women's final.
Salman Khalil Rises to Top 50
With this victory, Salman Khalil climbs in the world rankings to reach 44th place, while Adam Hawl moves to 56th. Emerging champion Nour Khafaji made a leap of 20 places in the women's rankings, reaching 66th globally.
The Professional Squash Association announced the new rankings for the current season, which began on September 1 with the London Classic, where Egyptian duo Mostafa Asal and Hania El Hammamy still lead the list.
