Coach of Sundowns: Morocco is an Exceptional Case
Portuguese coach Miguel Cardoso, who leads South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns, highlighted the remarkable development of Moroccan football, stating that Morocco has become a model for providing the right conditions for players to enhance their skills and achieve superior performance.

The Portuguese coach pointed out that Morocco represents a unique case on the African continent, having managed to provide a suitable environment for players, whether in terms of the quality of stadiums, infrastructure, or the conditions surrounding the practice of the game.
In this context, Cardoso stated that there is “a country in Africa that stands out completely from the rest of the continent,” referring to Morocco, emphasizing that the conditions available in the kingdom support players to perform at high levels.
He also added that the Moroccan experience embodies the path that South African football should follow, urging those in charge of the game to study the policies in place and focus on improving the quality of facilities, stadiums, and the conditions in which matches are held.
Cardoso believes that improving the level of football in South Africa requires enhancing infrastructure and providing high-quality stadiums, in line with ambitions to develop the game and increase the level of competition.
