FAR Rabat qualified for the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup after defeating Ivorian side Korhogo 2-1 in the second leg of the preliminary round, held on Sunday evening at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat.

The military team started the match with early offensive pressure, resulting in a penalty being awarded in the 6th minute after Youssef El Fahli was fouled in the box. El Fahli successfully converted the penalty, giving his team the lead.

The Moroccan representatives continued their efforts to extend the score, but their failure to capitalize on available chances prevented them from adding more goals, while the Ivorian team attempted to threaten goalkeeper Ahmed Reda Tagnaouti's net, but they could not equalize, leaving the first half with FAR Rabat leading 1-0.

As the second half began, Korhogo equalized in the 54th minute through Gouti Debi, bringing the match back to square one. The military team then called for a penalty after a foul on Ahmed Hamoudan in the box in the 58th minute, but the referee decided to continue play.

As the match neared its end, Anas Bach scored the second goal for FAR Rabat in the 83rd minute, restoring the lead for the home side and bringing them closer to securing qualification, which was confirmed with the final whistle, ending the match with a 2-1 victory for the military team.

FAR Rabat had returned from the first leg with a goalless draw, ensuring their advancement to the group stage with a total of 2-1 over the two legs.
