The "Parajudo" National Team Heads to Georgia for the World Championship
The national parajudo team is heading to Tbilisi, Georgia, today, Saturday, in preparation for the world championship.
The world parajudo championship is expected to start on Sunday, September 20, and will continue until next Saturday, the 26th of the same month, featuring top judokas from various countries around the world.
Algeria will be represented in this competition by Olympic champion Abdelkader Bouamer, along with Abdelrahman Chitwan and Youssef Rejaï.
The Algerian trio is counting on achieving positive results that will earn them additional points in the world ranking.
This participation, as confirmed by the Algerian Federation for Disabled Sports, is part of the preparations for upcoming competitions. It also represents an opportunity for exposure to the global level and maintaining the pace of international competition.
The championship holds special significance in the efforts of Algerian judokas to enhance their chances of qualifying for the upcoming Paralympic Games scheduled in Los Angeles, USA, in 2028.
