The Moroccan national futsal team claimed the majority of individual and collective awards at the Africa Cup of Nations (Morocco 2026), which concluded its matches this evening in the capital, Rabat, after winning three out of four awards, including Best Player, Best Goalkeeper, and the Fair Play Award.
Moroccan international Youssef Jouad was named Best Player of the tournament, in recognition of his outstanding performance throughout the continental competition and his vital role in the attack for the "Atlas Lions," especially in the final match against Angola, where he scored a goal in the 19th minute.
Meanwhile, Youssef Ben Selam, the goalkeeper for the Moroccan national team, received the Best Goalkeeper award, acknowledging the excellent defensive performance displayed by the national team during various stages of the tournament. The "Atlas Lions" also earned the Fair Play Award, in recognition of the sportsmanship and discipline they exhibited during their participation.
On his part, Angolan international João Campangula was crowned top scorer of the tournament.
These results reflect the great strength of the Moroccan national team in all aspects of play, both individually and collectively, and confirm the diverse strengths that characterized Coach Hicham Dakiq's squad during this continental event.
