National Team Claims Thrilling Victory Over Niger, Ends International Break with a Win

The Algerian national team managed to turn their deficit against Niger into a 2-1 victory in a friendly match held this Tuesday evening at the Hussein Ait Ahmed Stadium.

After a disappointing first half in which the "Greens" trailed 1-0, the team's performance improved in the second half, although it was not as expected. They equalized in the 54th minute through substitute Beloumi, who executed a direct free kick brilliantly with a powerful shot that left the Nigerien goalkeeper with no chance.

The national team continued to apply pressure in search of a second goal, which came in the 72nd minute when Boulbine was awarded a penalty. Substitute defender Ramy Ben Sabaini successfully converted it, giving the "Greens" the lead.

National coach Ibrahim Hamdani made several substitutions during the match, bringing in Beloumi for the injured Mazza in the 40th minute, Chaykha instead of Bakar in the 62nd minute, then Abada for Nayer, Bourbâa for Aouchiche, and Ben Sabaini for Hjam, in addition to Boulbine for Qabal and Shaibi for Abdeli.

With this victory, the national team successfully concludes their training camp against Niger, following a 2-2 draw in the previous match against Burundi in the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. Hamdani continues to work on building the team ahead of upcoming challenges, as they will face Togo next November in the qualifiers for the third and fourth rounds of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
