The "Northern Derby" ended in a 1-1 draw between KAC Tanger and Moghreb Tétouan, held at the Grand Stadium of Tangier, as part of the second round of the professional football league. The match was characterized by excitement and competitiveness, with a large crowd creating a fantastic atmosphere in the stands.

Moghreb Tétouan was the more threatening team at the start of the match, managing to score the first goal in the 34th minute through Mouad Kermoun, following a fine pass from Diaa Eddin Daoudi. The Tétouan team maintained their lead until the end of the first half.

As the second half began, KAC Tanger sought to come back into the match and quickly succeeded in the 57th minute when Younes Najari rose to meet a cross from Sofiane Ahnaach and scored with a header, bringing "The Knights of the Bay" back into the game.

The home side increased their pressure afterward and nearly scored a second goal on several occasions, but Tétouan goalkeeper Benabid excelled in saving a number of chances, notably a header from Sandro Grakovic in the 88th minute.

In stoppage time, Moghreb Tétouan had a golden opportunity to seal the match when the referee awarded a penalty in the 90+4 minute, but Yassine El Karachna missed it, resulting in the match ending in a draw, with both teams settling for a point each after a strong encounter that saw many missed opportunities from both sides.
