The match between the national U20 team and their Tunisian counterparts ended in a 1-1 draw on Thursday, during the opening of the North African Union tournament qualifying for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
The young "Greens" opened the scoring in the 10th minute through Mohamed Sidiq, who headed the ball into the net with a brilliant effort. The Tunisian team managed to equalize in the 30th minute with an own goal.
As a result, both teams earned one point at the start of their journey in the tournament held in Egypt. The "Greens" will continue their campaign against Libya on September 27.
They will then face Morocco on September 30, before taking a rest day on October 3, and concluding the competition with a match against Egypt on October 6.
