The Egyptian national team for wheelchair handball began its training in Spain upon arriving in Barcelona, in preparation for the fourth World Championship, which will take place in Granollers from September 16 to 20.
This training is part of the final phase of the team's preparations for the tournament, which will feature 12 teams representing all six continents for the first time.

The Egyptian team, the defending champion from the previous edition, is placed in Group D alongside Chile and Lithuania, according to the draw by the International Handball Federation.

Competition Start Date
The Pharaohs will kick off their campaign against Chile on Wednesday, September 16, at 4 PM local time in Spain, and 5 PM Cairo time, before facing Lithuania on Thursday, September 17.
The delegation includes Dr. Khaled Samir as head of the delegation, Wael Abdel Aati as head coach, Mohamed Farag as assistant coach, Karam Morsi as team manager, and Dr. Mahmoud El-Naggar as team doctor.
The player roster includes Mohamed Anwar, Magdy Talaat, Ashraf Abu Zeid, Toba Nagdi, Rabi Hassan, Ahmed Essam, Ahmed Salah, Zahra Abouzeid, and Ayat Ahmed. The delegation is also accompanied by Dr. Hossam El-Din Mustafa, president of the Egyptian Paralympic Committee, who received a special invitation from the International Handball Federation.
The Egyptian team competes in the tournament as the defending champion from the previous edition held in Cairo in 2024, where they claimed the title against the United States, and the Pharaohs hope to retain their title in this new edition, which sees a significant increase in the number of participating teams.
