Will the Gbavé technical center be operational on time? This is the question that concerns many observers of local football.
“We have reached 73% progress on the works. We have communicated with the company in charge, and we hope to be ready for the inauguration by November at the latest.” These words come from Nathaniel Nascimento Brito, FIFA Development Officer for Africa. He visited the site last March and expressed his satisfaction and optimism regarding the progress of the construction. As the deadline approaches, anticipation grows, and excitement intensifies.
The Gbavé technical center is expected to contribute to the professionalization of Togolese football. According to the national body, this center will be “dedicated to training young talents, preparing national teams, and improving technical skills.”
The football field has been completed since July 28, 2025. The works concern the administrative and accommodation infrastructures for youth national teams. Ultimately, the national center in Gbavé should provide a modern framework for all stakeholders in Togolese football.
