After several years away from his formative club, Faouzi Chaouchi is about to write a new chapter in his career. The Algerian goalkeeper has officially rejoined CA Bordj Menaïel, a team that holds a special place in his journey, as it represents his beginnings in the world of football.

JSBM announced the signing of the former Algerian international during this summer transfer window, welcoming him through an official statement. A symbolic return for Chaouchi, who is back in the city where he grew up and where he took his first steps before making a name for himself at the highest level of national football.

At 41 years old, the goalkeeper has a rich career filled with experiences. Emerging in the early 2000s, he quickly established himself as one of the most notable goalkeepers in the Algerian league. His time at JS Kabylie helped him gain recognition before experiencing one of the highlights of his career with Entente de Sétif, where he notably won several titles on both the national and continental stages.

Chaouchi is also linked to one of the most memorable events in the recent history of Algerian football. On November 18, 2009, in Oum Dorman, during the playoff match against Egypt for qualification to the 2010 World Cup, the goalkeeper delivered a memorable performance. This match, won by the Greens (1-0), allowed Algeria to qualify for the South African World Cup and etched Chaouchi's name into the collective memory of Algerian supporters.

In recent seasons, despite a more low-key path, the goalkeeper has never stopped putting his experience at the service of the clubs he has represented. He has notably played for JS Kabylie, MC Alger, USM El Harrach, and CA Bordj Bou Arreridj, before continuing his journey in the lower divisions. With his experience and knowledge of Algerian football, he is now a valuable asset for Bordj Menaïel, which he had already rejoined between 2022 and 2024.

Chaouchi's return goes beyond a simple transfer. It is a reunion between an iconic player and his original club, with the goal of sharing his experience and helping CA Bordj Menaïel achieve its ambitions during the new season.
