National coach Mohamed Wahbi has called up Ilyas Akhoumash, a player from Villarreal, to join the national team's training camp in preparation for the match against Gabon.

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation stated in a press release that Wahbi requested Akhoumash to join the "Atlas Lions" camp, without providing additional details on whether this is to replace another player or due to an injury within the squad.

Spanish media reports indicated that Ibrahim Diaz, a player for Real Madrid and the national team, is suffering from ongoing muscular issues, which have affected his participation in recent matches despite Portuguese coach José Mourinho's continued trust in him.

The national team conducted a new training session today, Tuesday, at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maamora, as part of their preparations for the upcoming match against Gabon, scheduled for this Friday in the first round of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The coaching staff dedicated this training session, held at the end of the morning period, to continue working on technical and tactical aspects, according to the preparatory program set for the match against Gabon.

The national team will hold a training session this Thursday at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat, starting at 5:30 PM. The first fifteen minutes will be open to the media.
