Moroccan international player Abdallah Wazan contributed to Ajax Amsterdam's victory over Italian side Atalanta with a 2-0 scoreline, scoring the second goal in a match held on Thursday evening at the Johan Cruyff Arena, as part of the second round of the group stage in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Wazan came on as a substitute in the 62nd minute and showed a good performance during his time on the pitch, before successfully scoring his goal in the third minute of stoppage time in the second half, sealing his team's victory in the final moments of the match.

Ajax waited until the 87th minute to open the scoring through Tolu Arkowadi, before Abdallah Wazan added the second goal, giving his team their first win in the competition after losing the first round against Croatian side Hajduk Split 2-1.

With this win, Ajax collected their first three points in the group stage, climbing to thirteenth place in the standings, while Atalanta remained at three points, sitting in fifteenth place.

In another match of the same round, French side Monaco defeated German visitors Freiburg with a clean sheet of 3-0, bringing their total to six points in seventh place, while the German team remained at three points in eighteenth place.

Paris Brunner scored the first goal for Monaco in the second minute of stoppage time in the first half, followed by Lamine Kamara adding the second goal in the 83rd minute, while Ansu Fati completed the trio in the second minute of stoppage time in the second half.
