With 189 teams participating, the Young Pharaohs are among the elite at the World Cup for the talented.

The Egypt U-15 national team has secured its place among the elite at the FIFA U-15 World Cup, part of a global talent identification project, after achieving five consecutive victories in the preliminary stage.

Egypt Tops Group with Perfect Record

Egypt topped its group with a perfect record, winning all five matches, which allowed it to qualify for the competition phase of the inaugural FIFA U-15 World Cup.

Egypt played in Group 19, where it managed to defeat Iraq 4-1, Macau 8-0, Saint Kitts and Nevis 1-0, Trinidad and Tobago 4-1, and the Cayman Islands 9-0. Throughout the five matches, the team scored 26 goals and conceded only 2.

The tournament, currently taking place in Azerbaijan, features the majority of the 189 teams registered with FIFA, while 22 teams, including 18 European teams, North Korea, and the United States, are absent. Eritrea and Libya withdrew after the draw.

The participating teams are divided into 32 groups, each consisting of six teams, except for three groups that contain five teams, and all play in a single round-robin format.

The top teams from each group will qualify to compete for the championship, while the second-placed teams will also play together in the second tier, and so on up to the sixth tier.

The project is overseen by Walid Darwish, a member of the Egyptian Football Association's board, and managed by Ahmed El-Gohary, the project director. The coaching staff includes Daryl Willard, FIFA's technical advisor, and coaches Youssef Fawaz and Sherif Talaat, along with Dr. Mohamed Madi, the team doctor.
