FUS Rabat (Morocco) and Lekié Football Filles (Cameroon) ended in a goalless draw (0-0) on Sunday in the opening match of the CAF Women's Champions League, Egypt 2026.
Lekié Football Filles from Cameroon had a mixed start in the CAF Women's Champions League. The Cameroonian club, featuring experienced international Ajara Nchout Njoya on the field, managed to secure a valuable point in their first match. At the Suez Canal in Ismailia, FUS Rabat displayed remarkable offensive skills, having scored 14 goals in their three qualifying victories. However, the Moroccans failed to replicate that efficiency against their Cameroonian opponents.
Meanwhile, the team coached by Stéphane Ndzana remained solid, thanks to a defense that held firm until the final whistle.
Both teams remain well in contention for a spot in the semifinals, ahead of their upcoming matches in Group A against Egyptian side FC Masar and South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns.
At the end of the group stage, the top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals.
