Aliyu Zubairu has been appointed as the new head coach of Sudanese club Al Ahli Madani on a two-year deal, as reported by Completesports.com.
Previously, Zubairu held the position of head coach at Egyptian second-tier side Telecom SC.
The 62-year-old succeeds Sudanese coach Farouk Jabra, who departed the club after his contract ended.
Zubairu had a commendable tenure with Telecom SC, leading the team to the semi-finals of the Egyptian Cup in the last season.

“Al Ahli Madani presents another significant challenge for me. It is a prestigious club with a rich history and lofty ambitions. I am eager to collaborate with the players, the management, and the supporters to realize our goals, especially as the team gears up for the CAF Confederation Cup,” he stated following his appointment.
Zubairu gained considerable recognition for leading El-Kanemi Warriors to victory in the President Federation Cup in 2024 and for earning promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.
He also guided the Flying Eagles to a third-place finish at the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations and was at the helm during the U-20 World Cup.
Next season, Al Ahli Madani will participate in the CAF Confederation Cup.
