Benjamin Fredrick has shared his excitement following the signing of a new four-year agreement with Brentford, along with his promotion to the club’s first-team roster.
The Premier League side revealed on Friday that the Nigeria international has secured a long-term deal, ensuring his future with the Bees.
Fredrick also took a moment to commend his former Brentford B head coach, Neil MacFarlane, who is now an assistant first-team coach, and reflected on his significant growth since arriving at the West London club.

“It’s a wonderful feeling. I’m pleased and proud of myself, and my family shares in that pride,” Fredrick stated on the club’s official website.

“The club has been incredibly supportive. When I arrived, I felt a bit anxious and reserved. I struggled with the basics because my background is quite different from here.
“Especially Neil during my initial period here. He consistently motivated me, never raised his voice when I made errors, and simply advised me to keep focused and continue playing. He’s been instrumental in my development as a player and individual.”
Aspirations for Upcoming Season
Fredrick also outlined his goals for the 2025/26 season.
“I just want to continue pushing myself and learning each day,” the 21-year-old added.
“My goal is to make my first-team debut, gain Premier League experience, and perform to the best of my abilities when given the chance.”
