Hearts of Oak refute claims regarding a transfer price set for Benjamin Asare.
Hearts of Oak have refuted claims suggesting that the club has set a transfer value for goalkeeper Benjamin Asare following his standout performances for Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
In an official announcement made on Tuesday, July 15, 2026, the Ghana Premier League team branded the reports circulating in the media and on social platforms as "false and unfounded."
The Phobians clarified that they have not established any valuation for the goalkeeper and have not given permission to any person or media outlet to disclose a transfer fee or solicit offers from interested clubs on the player’s behalf.
"Hearts of Oak has not set any valuation for Benjamin Asare, nor has it authorized any individual or media platform to communicate a transfer fee or asking price on its behalf," the announcement stated.
Nonetheless, the club emphasized its openness to considering offers that are beneficial for both the player and the club, underlining that no official valuation has been presented at this time and that any figures currently being discussed are merely speculative.
"As a professionally managed football club, Hearts of Oak is open to receiving and evaluating offers that align with the best interests of both the player and the club. However, no official valuation has been communicated at this moment, and any figures currently circulating are speculative," the announcement continued.
The historic Ghana Premier League champions also urged the media, fans, and the general public to disregard unverified information regarding Asare's future.
The club encouraged reporters and media organizations to confirm information through Hearts of Oak's official communication channels prior to publication.
Hearts of Oak additionally commended the Black Stars goalkeeper for his recent accomplishments on the international stage and reaffirmed their commitment to fostering his ongoing development while maintaining the integrity of the club's operations.
Rumors regarding Asare's future have surged in recent weeks as the goalkeeper showcased his skills for Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, drawing reported interest from clubs abroad.
However, Hearts of Oak's recent statement clarifies that no official asking price has been determined for the player despite the mounting transfer speculation.
