Midfielder Shawkan Mohammed expresses pride in joining Aduana FC.

Aduana Football Club's latest acquisition, Shawkan Mohammed, has expressed his happiness after finalizing his transfer to the Ghana Premier League team ahead of the 2026/27 season. The 23-year-old midfielder arrives as a free agent after leaving the Tunisian powerhouse Club Africain. Shawkan has committed to a long-term deal with the Dormaa-based club and is anticipated to enhance the midfield as they gear up for the new season. Following his official introduction, the midfielder conveyed his enthusiasm about starting a new journey with the Ogya boys. "I’m proud to be part of the Ogya family. Together, let's achieve great success on and off the field," he stated. Shawkan is already acquainted with Ghanaian football, having had a fruitful tenure with Accra Lions. He made 68 appearances over three seasons after joining from lower-tier side Koowa Naso FC in September 2021, scoring once during his stint with the Accra-based team. In 2024, Shawkan made a move to Club Africain on a three-year agreement. Unfortunately, his time in Tunisia was brief, as he faced challenges in securing regular playing time. The Ghanaian became a free agent in January after mutually ending his contract with the Tunisian club, despite having time left on his deal. With his return to the Ghana Premier League now official, Shawkan is keen to regain his top form and contribute significantly as Aduana FC aims for a strong performance in the approaching season.
