This transaction would mark the largest transfer in the club's history, exceeding the previous record of €1.5 million for Cedric Don's move to Israeli team Maccabi Haifa.

Otomewo is expected to reach Israel on Saturday before heading to France for his medical examination.

The promising midfielder was recruited for Hapoel Jerusalem's youth team last summer after being identified at a talent showcase in Nigeria.

During his time with the youth squad, he also frequently trained with the senior team. He capitalized on an injury crisis to secure a place in the first team, making 19 league appearances.
