Payne Embraces Fresh Challenge With Inter Milan

Super Falcons midfielder Toni Payne is thrilled about the chance to represent Serie A powerhouse Inter Women.

Payne made the switch to the Nerazzurri from English Women’s Super League club Everton on a two-year contract this past Saturday.

At 31, she spent two years at Everton after joining on a free transfer in 2024.

Payne Embraces New Challenge

The former Sevilla player expressed her eagerness to challenge herself in the Italian premier league.

“I’m incredibly excited to be signing with Inter. There’s an immense legacy surrounding the club and I’m truly delighted to be a part of it,” Payne shared with the club’s official website.

“This means a lot to me. I’m entering a new chapter in my career and I’m eager to be part of such a competitive league and a team that aims for excellence.

“It’s a highly competitive league. I believe I have several skills that I can showcase here, and I’m looking forward to doing that in the forthcoming seasons.”

Valuable Addition To Inter Squad

Payne also discussed her playing style, emphasizing the attributes she hopes will enable her to make an immediate impression with the Nerazzurri.

“I possess a lot of speed. I enjoy dribbling, delivering crosses, and I hope these skills will be beneficial to Inter this season. I’m really eager to get started,” she remarked.
