Shaibu Osei Alhassan has become a member of the coaching staff at Rahimo FC.

Former head coach of Hohoe United and AshantiGold FC, Shaibu Osei Alhassan, has taken a significant step in his coaching journey with his recent appointment as the Youth Team Coach and Assistant Coach for Burkinab powerhouses Rahimo FC. In this dual role, the esteemed Ghanaian strategist will manage the club's youth development programs while also acting as the primary assistant to the senior first team, a transition first reported by sports journalist Shaban Mohammed. This international shift comes after a swift and notable series of events in Ghana's domestic leagues, where Alhassan established himself as one of the region's most talented emerging coaches. His most notable achievement was at Hohoe United, where his tactical expertise led the club to a landmark qualification for the Ghana Premier League, earning him the coveted Access Bank Division One League Coach of the Season award. Following a significant administrative restructuring, he departed from Hohoe United in January 2026. His rapid ascent quickly attracted the attention of Zone Two league club AshantiGold 04, who brought him on board with a short-term deal in February 2026 to spearhead their promotion efforts. However, his time in Obuasi was unexpectedly cut short when management opted to appoint seasoned coach Abdul Karim Zito to lead the team, prompting Alhassan to resign rather than accept a subordinate position. Armed with his newly attained CAF License A certification from the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence in Prampram, which qualifies him for high-level continental roles, Alhassan's transition to Rahimo FC offers an excellent opportunity to demonstrate his developmental skills and first-team tactical expertise in the Burkinab Premier League.
